Draw me
Here, amongst my rumpled clothes
Arms outstretched
Grasping
Though my soul knows
It’s time to let go.
Grab my satin robe
The red one, hanging on the door
So that I may drape it
Over my nakedness.
My joints
Ache in the cold
But this year
Blessed sunlight and warmth
I am, also… thankfully!…
planted close to home.
