Father’s Day 2022

Last year, I was still numb with grief when first Dad’s birthday came and went, and then, Father’s Day.

This year, I have the distance needed to ~*~ celebrate ~*~ Father’s Day once again.

My dad is the young man on the right. He was – and continues to be – the marker by which I measure all men. ♥️

He was not a complex man. What you saw was what you got. And what you got was a gentleness of body, mind, and spirit.

He was – in one word – LOVE, personified.

These are not the ramblings of a grief-stricken daughter, though I’ll never get used to our world without him in it.

Nope, these are words I said while he was alive and will continue to say until we meet again.

I love and miss you, Dad! Happy Father’s Day in heaven! Always remembered…

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, step-dads, granddads, and fur-dads out there!
