Raphael, Monkey, and Healer – Oh, my!

You know I talk to animals. I want to get better at it because there are some things I need to talk to my cats about.

Actually, I’m serious.

Bette has been to the vet about six times over the last two years for a snoring / wheezing / breathing problem. She was tested for asthma – wasn’t that, her lungs were good and not-at-all compromised. Then an upper respiratory (sinus) infection – was given rounds of antibiotics, it didn’t go away. Also, allergies – had several blasts of sterioids, didn’t go away.

Through the process of elimination, the doc thinks she may have a polyp. Just the test would be very invasive but if indeed she has it and add in the surgery. Ugh. He told us, like with humans, there is controversy about leaving it alone vs. surgery to remove. It’s difficult, expensive, painful and may or may not work. Double ugh.

Bette hasn’t changed in the five years we’ve had her. She’s eating, drinking, pottying, partying (okay, napping) primping and cleaning, just as she always has. She’s just as soft and sassy as she’s ever been.

The vet is of the mind that it’s best to keep an eye on her and if anything changes, then we go forward with the more invasive tests and make further decisions based on those results.

*sigh*

Hannah, our other cat, has been jumpy since we got her, about three years ago. She scares *really* easily. She was 11 months old when we met her and didn’t have a backstory… except… the foster-mom said her other cats didn’t like her very much. My husband and I both got the idea that the foster family wanted to get her out of the house ASAP. It kind of broke our hearts and we didn’t need much discussion to make the decision to include her in our family.

So, I’ve been trying to talk to Bette about how she’s really feeling (Is she suffering? In any pain?) and Hannah about what’s got her so spooked (Abused as a kitten, dumped, her babies taken away?).

With that preamble, I’m taking the second round of Animal Communication classes with my friend and mentor, MB, who I have mentioned here a few times. First class is tomorrow. Yay!

So, yesterday, I noticed that MB had hopped on a FB Live and was giving messages from Darwin, an iguana (I think! I’m not the best with reptiles and I’ve forgotten his exact breed). He lives with her and her husband, a dog named Nemo and other assorted critters.

He had a message for me! Here’s part of what he said:

You have a pink crystal that holds meaning for you. Hold it next to your heart. There is much healing there for you. It will help you.

As you know, I have several Rose Quartz crystals, as they are my very favorite crystal! My fave is the new pendulum from my mom, which I shared with you a few weeks ago.

This afternoon, I got all of my rose quartz out including the pendulum, along with my Archangel Animal Oracle Cards, and a candle, which I lit. <<< I always think God can find me easier with a light.

I held the crystals to my heart, said a little prayer, and shuffled and chose a card. I got “Monkey” which I thought was odd because of all the mammals on earth, primates are the ones I like least. Why? Well, I won’t go into a long story (you’re welcome!) except to say my ex-husband hated-monkeys-with-a-passion. Was he mauled by one in his early or a prior life? Who knows and at this point, it doesn’t matter. It was just one of those things that we eventually began to share – that, and a fear of clowns. <<< That one, I still have, but I put that on Pennywise. But yes, I digress.

Here is the message from Monkey:

“Focus on developing your right brain and your heart, as this is the route to ascension and oneness. Take time out to relax, have fun and just be. Enjoy your senses. Love your food, smell the flowers, see beauty everywhere, touch your loved ones and listen with loving expectation. Attune to the wonders of nature. Bring your family or community together. In this way, you really connect with and understand Oneness. It is important to be aware of your voice when you talk or sing. When it is warm and harmonious the angels can use it to create sonics that purify you and light you up. You will radiate a pool of healing around you and this not only helps others but attracts good into your life. Be carefree and joyous.”

You know, it didn’t sound right to me. That… and that it was from a monkey. So, I took my pendulum and asked…

Is this the right card? Is this the one I’m supposed to be seeing today?

I held it by the tree at the end, closed my eyes and asked. When I opened my eyes, it was going around in a wide circle, which for me, means yes. Back and forth means no, in case you’re wondering. For you, it may be different… it’s yours to create and claim. But again, yes, digressing.

Then, I looked at the Archangel: Rafael. Hmmm… What does he have to say? There’s not a lot in the little book that came with the cards, so I ventured out other sources in my bookshelf:

Archangel Raphael: “The healing angel is with you, supporting your healing work.

Your prayers for healing (for yourself or for others) have been heard and answered by Archangel Raphael, the supreme healer within the angelic realm. Raphael (whose name means “god heals”) gives you guidance and ideas about your health, so be sure to follow any intuitive impulses to exercise, eat healthfully, quit drinking or smoking, and so forth. Raphael can help you reduce or eliminate unhealthful cravings if you will ask. He will also increase your motivation to exercise.

If you feel called to help with others’ health (loved ones, clients, an/or animals) then ask Raphael to guide your actions and words. Raphael will send God’s healing energy through you so that you are a conduit for Divine light and love. Raphael is also happy to direct you to schooling for healing work, at your request.

Raphael’s healing energy is emerald green in color. Visualize this emerald green light surrounding anyone in need of healing support.

So, healing. Lots and lots of healing.

The healing might be meant for me, my husband, my parents, Bette and Hannah, or soooooo much bigger… like the United States, or (let’s get real) the earth.

We ALL need a hearty dose of healing! Wouldn’t you agree?

So, today is what you might call “a la-la day” in La Bibliothéque. Maybe you think I’m going quietly insane or at least, talking to myself more than usual. Then again, maybe I shouldn’t assume.

It was a lovely afternoon among my healing things in this room I adore. And that’s okay by me. I hope it’s so for you, too… because you are very welcome here!
