This morning, I woke with a migraine, took the big-gun meds, and went back to sleep. When I awoke again, I sat in bed with a cat asleep on my lap, a cup of hot coffee, and my phone. I stumbled across an excellent video on YouTube!
I watched the entire thing, what with being a captive audience over 60 who spent my original retirement savings years ago (when I couldn’t work for the first several years after moving to Canada).
I suspect some of my readers may benefit from this information, too.
Spoiler alert – most of what he says is common sense and delivered in an unspectacular, though calming, way. To give you the bare bones:

I will say that the stories he tells along the way are touching and helpful, worth the time to seriously stop and listen.
If you’re like me, you started a retirement account years ago, and because of this and that (which in our case was divorce and the subsequent fallout, including financial wallops) cashed them out…
Then, this is an excellent video of encouragement!
If you’re already happy with your choices and investments and/or years away from retirement, perhaps you’ll still find some value. Or, at least, validation.
This is a little different from my usual posts and I do need to say I have never spoken to – or even knew of – Lane Martinsen. I will share his “About” information below the video if you’re interested in his credentials or learning more.
